1. Using Rateslip

You may use Rateslip to read documents that you own or are authorised to handle. You need an account, and you are responsible for what happens under it. Do not share sign-in links.

2. What you upload

You keep every right you already have in your documents. You give us permission to store them, render them, and process them for the purpose of producing your results, and for nothing else. We do not use your documents to train models and do not share them with other users.

Do not upload anything you are not permitted to disclose, anything containing personal data you have no basis to share, or anything unlawful.

How documents are stored and deleted in practice is set out in the privacy notice.

3. What the figures are

Rateslip reports what it read from a document and what follows arithmetically from it. The figures are for comparison and negotiation. They are not accounting records, not tax advice, and not a certification that a document is accurate.

Check any figure you intend to rely on against the document itself. For every figure, Rateslip records the part of the page it came from. Showing you that part of the page beside the figure is coming; until it does, make the check against the document.

4. Early access

Rateslip is early software. Features change, results improve and occasionally regress, and the service may be unavailable without notice. There is no uptime commitment during this period.

Use is currently free. If charging begins, you will be told before any charge applies to your account, and you may stop using the service instead.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to access another account's data.
• Do not probe, scan or load-test the service without written permission.
• Do not automate uploads at a volume that degrades the service for others.
• Do not resell access or present the output as your own independent verification service.

6. Availability and suspension

An account may be suspended where use breaches these terms, threatens the service, or creates legal risk. Where circumstances allow, you will be told why and given a chance to put it right.

7. Liability

Rateslip is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind so far as the law allows. We are not liable for commercial decisions taken on the basis of its output, for lost profit, or for indirect loss. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Where liability applies and can be limited, it is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the preceding twelve months, which during early access is zero.

8. Ending it

You may stop at any time and ask for your account and documents to be deleted. We may withdraw the service, in which case reasonable notice will be given so you can retrieve what you need.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Kolkata have exclusive jurisdiction.

10. Changes

These terms may change. Material changes will be notified by email to signed-up accounts before taking effect, and continuing to use Rateslip after that means accepting them.
